i was wondering what to feed a koi fish i have on in an aquarium i have 4 to put him in as he grows til he big enuff for a pond,but rite now he just a little thing bout 3 inches.what do you feed them to have a healthy koi rite now i feed him gold fish pellets.the girl at the pet store gave me a 5lb bag of pond food i dont think that rite for a little one

any fish food will do however if you can avail koi food would be much nicer. You already got the goldfish food it would be a waste. Just make sure it is big enough for their mouth

The pond food is usually a specially formulated food for Koi. Goldfish pellets might not sustain a growing Koi. You should take a few pellets of the pond food and crunch them up into small pieces. This should be better for a smaller Koi, and they will still be getting the nutrients they need. Good Luck!
The best thing will problably be to crush up goldfish flakes and then move your way up.
